Favorite Sources

I read constantly. Books. Magazines. Websites. Newspapers. I cannot tell you any popular television show currently running, but I can probably tell you about all sorts of publications on the market. So on my list for my favorite publications for each year are the following:

1. The Wall Street Journal and the WSJ magazine. The best journalism.
2. Town & Country: Because it's always the best of the best and beautifully presented whether it's on travel, food, interiors, jewelry, art, or people.
3. Departures: Because it's expanded to encompass a global market, and they do a terrific job covering every venue.
4. Fortune Small Business: Because there are always relevant stories whether you're a sole proprietor or large corporate employee.
5. Consumer Reports: Whether you need a new washer & dryer, or the best general news for home electronics, they've got you covered.
6. 1stdibs.com: Because amazing objects turn up and the site is excellent.
7. cnet.com: Because they have the most up-to-date information in this constantly changing technological world we live in today.
8. National Geographic: whether you review it in paper or on television, it's incredible journalism about our changing earth.
9. cnn.com: the best and most up-to-date online daily news service that's the easiest to use, and it's the opposite perspective of the WSJ.
10. Oprah: Because she's always got something important, inspiring, and interesting to impart.
11. Outside Magazine: Because whether it's outdoor physical activities or where to travel or going green, they've got the stories and info.
12. Conde Nast Publications: Because they've got some of the best publications in the business whether on travel, fashion, or interiors, I'm never disappointed.
13. Discovery Channel: Because it's constantly fascinating.
14. Barefoot Contessa: Because her cookbooks are beautifully presented with simple recipes that make cooking enjoyable.
15. House Beautiful: Because I like the changes Steven Drucker has made: they're creative, interesting, and very reader friendly.
16. Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles: Because Clint Smith is one to watch.
