Magnificent Mesa Verde

Mesa Verde National Park is a World Heritage site filled with fascinating architectural, sociological, and natural history that includes the largest magnificently preserved cliff dwellings in North America.  Paleo Native Americans inhabited the site as early as 7500 B.C. focusing on hunting, agriculture, and basketmaking. The Cliff Palace is still in existence, and massive dwellings fill the mesa and canyon. Just 30 minutes outside of Durango, Colorado, Mesa Verde National Park will fill you with awe and amazement at the ingenuity and courage of our Puebloan ancestors. https://www.nps.gov/meve/index.htm
